Sharing calendar and privates?

L

Linn Kubler

Hi,

We are running Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003, shortly upgrading to
Exchange 2007. Some of my users share their calendars with other members of
their departments. They will typically use the Private setting to keep some
information confidential.

One of my users has asked me if it's possible to allow some staff the
ability to see her private appointments while still preventing others from
seeing them. If that makes sense. Any idea of this is possible and if so,
how she would set it up?

Thanks in advance,
Linn

She'll need to make them delegates if she wants to share private
appointments. If you upgrade to outlook 2007 when you move to exchange
2007, you'll be able to control permissions better. She could give some
permission to just view times, and others permission to full details and not
use Private.
