Sharing pst between users

I use my computer mostly as a member of the power users group, but every so
often I have to use the Administrator login for maintenance work. While I am
logged on as Administrator it is enormously useful to be able to send and
receive email as if I was the normal power user.

Using Outlook 2000 on a Windows 2000 machine I could do this quite easily,
simply by pointing Outlook to the same pst file as the default for receiving
mail. But on a new machine, with Outlook 2003 and Windows XP Pro it doesn't
seem to work. Mail I send while logged on as my normal user doesn't appear in
the Sent Items when I open the same pst as Administrator. And all the address
book entries which were imported as Administrator are not visible when I log
in as normal user.

Is there a way of sharing the pst file between two users in Outlook 2003 so
that each can use it as though they were the same person?

Grateful for any advice.

You can do the same with OL 2003 as well. Just make sure the PST is in a
folder both accounts can access. Also, make sure you don't have both
accounts accessing it simultaneously. Oh, and DON'T import. Use
File>Open>Outlook Data File.

One final thing, the PST in use has no relation to what account appears as
the sender account. It didn't in OL 2000, either.
