Shortcut Bar Gone in Office 2003 - Are There Any Alternatives?

The shortcut bar is gone in Office 2003! Why did it have
to be deleted? I used this function of Office
extensively, having shortcuts to all my apps on it
categorized in 16 folders. Approximately 300 shortcuts.

Are there any alternatives to the shortcut bar available
so a similar functionality is acheived?

I found on another posting in Office Update newsgroup that
the old toolbar can be installed by itself, so I'll try
that.

Another option is the Quick Launch bar. You will need to drag and drop the
icons manually for the Office applications, but once done, the bar works
very nicely.
