Shortcut for Duplicate Slide

Does anyone know how cntrl+D and cntrl+shift+D differ

They appear to do the same thing. Just curious

Bob,
Ctrl+D works on the current selection. If a shape is selected, it will
duplicate the shape(s). If a slide is selected it will create a duplicate of
the slide.

Ctrl+Shift+D creates a duplicate of the slide(s).
