shortcut key insert date outlook

Using the insert date shortcut Alt-Shift_D does not work in Outlook. My
staff could do with this as they use outlook for tracking work and have to
quickly 'sign' emails to show what date/time they updated the thread. Have I
just not figured out the keyboard shortcut?
