You can Shift-click on the left-most icon in the view controls (above the
Draw toolbar and Status bar).

Or just click Alt + V M S in quick succession <g>.

You can also choose View | Toolbars | Customize - go to the Commands tab and
drag the Slide Master icon to any visible toolbar.

Finally, look at this add-in:

Most of the "masters" can be reached by holding down the Shift key and clicking the tiny little icons (bottom left)

e.g. notes master , slides master, handouts master
