Show time as

Is it possible to create an appointment that shows the time as "Busy" for the
reserved resource and also shows the time as "Tentative" or "Free" or "Busy"
for multiple attendees? I manage six resource calendars and must include
several staff with different attendance criteria for the same meeting, and
I'd like to automatically mark their calendars without the attendees needing
to respond. Most imporantly, I want to save the attendees from having to
manually change their time on all of the appointments, as it is VERY time
consuming for them. Please help, and thanks in advance.

Aloha Livvy,

Hmmm...you can do meeting invites and invite the different attendees as "required"
or "optional" depending upon their critieria. That *might* work. Otherwise
you might be stuck trying to write some custom code to do it which might
be more of a pain than it's worth unless you enjoy that sort of thing. What
version of Outlook are you using?

Hi Ben. Thanks for your quick reply.

We use Outlook 2003 - SP1.

If writing a special code is the solution, you are correct that it would be
a royal pain for me. :) Does marking the attendees as "optional" show their
calendar time as free or tentative if I select "busy" when creating the appt
from the resource calendar? What would require the fewest number of clicks?
Thanks again! - Livvy
