Shut off all hyperlinking actions ?

Is there someway to shut off *all* automate hyper linking
in Word (2K) ?

I don't want http statement to hyperlink, or email addresses, etc.
I'd like *all* of that shut off in one swoop if possible, or at least
on a per document basis.

Thanks,

Try selecting the entire text (Ctrl+A) and then Ctrl+Shift+F9.

Thanks, Alan. I know that trick. I'd like them to stop being
"created", rather than removing them afterwards. It's a real
PITA when you want to edit in the area of an email address and
it keeps popping your email program, or a web address and it
keeps popping your browser.

I'm getting tired of hitting Ctrl+Shift+F9 for a feature that
I don't need in the least.

Go to Tools / Autocorrect / Autoformat as you type / Replace as you type ...
Remove the tick by "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks".

Or upgrade to Notepad (advantages: no intellisense, never crashes and costs
a lot less).

I hear that! They keep adding features I don't need, and then forcing
me to upgrade if I want the bugs from the last release fixed.
