I'm beginning to use the Sidenote capabilities of OneNote 2007 that is
launched from the task bar. It is very handy and I like it for the most
part. However, I have one thing I'd like to see or know how to do. Is there
a way for the side note to have the Title Box (which defines what goes on
the page tab) on the page like you get on any other new page in OneNote.

I realize that what you type on the first line produces the tab title when
the sidenote is transferred to the unfiled notes section but for
consistency's sake, I'd like my note pages to look the same.

Thanks,
Michael

Well I hadn't tried this before but I figured it'd work and it does. But
it's a bit cumbersome. Here's what you need to do:

Open a new side note.
Right click the toolbar area and click customize.
In the list on the left, select All Commands and then on the list on the
right, scroll down to Show Page Title.
Drag this command onto the toolbar
(Optional) Use the Modify Command button to give it a button image and
change the style to default so it's not taking up so much room.

Now when you open a new side note, you can click this button to get a page
title area. Sidenote will always default to page title off, but the toolbar
modification will stick so it's easy to turn the page title on.

Josh,

Thanks a million. While it would have been nice to have the page default to
having the Show Page Title on always, your suggestion works great.

Thanks,
Michael
