Simple Chart Column Question - Hold Format Width

Is there a way to format a chart so that the column width is static? I have a
chart that pulls data for the previous 12 weeks. If there is only data for
one or two weeks the column widths are very wide; as the data for the weeks
is inserted and the number of columns increase, the column widths decrease.
Not sure what to do and didn't see an answer in this super forum (which I use
all the time). Thanks, Jani
