Simple Work View for a Resource

M

Michael

Hello,

Is there a way to simply see a normal monthly calendar view (like the
'month' calendar you see in Outlook) where it clearly denotes which days of
the month a resource is scheduled to work?

I have a 3 month long project and I want to send each resource a view
indicating "Here are your scheduled days of work. Plan your vacation
accordingly."

Many Thanks!

Hi Michael,

I suggest taking a look at the Calendar View. To show just tasks for a
resource, display the view and filter the view with the Using Resource
filter.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

In addition, you can also apply the resource's calendar to the Calendar view
so that only his working time is shown.

Hi Julie,

This worked! Thanks. But first, I had to go the Gantt view and select the
all the tasks or just the tasks I was interested in. Then switiching to the
calendar view and filtering on the resouce name worked perfectly.

Hi Michael,

You're most welcome and thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure why just
displaying the Calendar view and then using the Filter drop down in the
filter view didn't work. I've never had to select tasks in the Gantt
chart first -- the filter has always worked fine from the Calendar view.
In fact, if I filter the Gantt chart, then display the Calendar view,
the filter is re-set to All Tasks.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
