Site designed with Front Page loads slowly

My website designed with Front Page loads haltingly and partly then
eventually completes on Internet Explorer, but on Front Page the site loads
fully in seconds. Is there a band aid for that?

FrontPage is on your computer. It should load almost instantly no matter how
heavy (file size) the page is.

If you look at the bottom right area of FrontPage while you have a page open
you should see the approximate load time of your page.
Looks like 0:[email protected]
You can click on that and change the connection speed to see the time at a
different speeds.
Load time is dependant on everything on the page (File sizes) and any other
CSS & JS you have linked to that page.
The more you put on a page the slower it is to load.

Is your site image intensive??

Did you resize / resample your images to the actual size ( height and
width ) used on the page??

I noticed an error in my original question above. What I meant to say is:
My website designed with Front Page loads haltingly and partly then
eventually completes on Internet Explorer, but on FIREFOX the site loads
fully in seconds. Is there a band aid for that?

1. You're using frames.
2. You have 18 images totaling: 203964 kb.

Try resampeling the images with an image editor such as the Free IrfanView,
www.irfanview.com
And save them with a quality setting of 75% to reduce the image file sizes.

Why it would open faster in FF beats me.

Have you cleared the FF cache files and then tried it??

Hi, Steve...
I cleared the FF cache and the loading of some of the images took a moments
hesitation, certainly not as long as it takes on IE. As for the Irfanview or
any such software, being a naive at this sort of tinkering, and not wanting
to create a disaster that I can't myself get out of, I sort of don't want to
go there. This site was designed and created by another who is no longer
available for fixes, so I'm kinda fearful to tred.

do you not know how to author pages? resampling graphics is pretty easy. I
just opened your logo in my Lviewpro basic and then just resaved it and the
size went from 80KB to 20KB with almost no noticable loss in quality.
