Size of e-mail message before send

Is there anyway that you can see the size of a e-mail before you send it? I
have tried the usual File - Properties.

While composing an e-mail, hit Ctrl+S to save a copy of it to the Drafts
folder, or close the new-mail compose window and elect to save it as a
draft. Then go into the Drafts folder and check the Size column.
