slide masters

I am using PPT 200 and am trying to create new slide
masters. I can create the masters and then save them with
the .POT extension but when I open the file or create a
new presentation using the new master powerpoint opens up
in the slide master as opposed to slide one.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Thanks

After you create the template, switch to Normal view and then save the file
as Design Template (*.POT). Explanation - - a presentation or a template
will remember the view it was in when it was last saved and will therefore
open in that view.

Make sure you go back to View/Normal before you save the POT file.
