Slide show - video sequence - internet

Hello everybody
I am in the process of making an introductory training programme to be
launced for a specific group on the internet. It is intended to replace
a face-to-face workshop. It is an introduction to a series of
face-to-face workshops. I have some OK PowerPoint slides, but as we
have never met the participants before, I would like to have some
high-quality video sequences integrated into the slide show. Having
seen our faces and heard our voices will make the subsequent workshops
much easier.

Now let us imagine that I have recorded a 2-minute DVD seuence which I
would like to integrate in the PowerPoint slide show: How do I do that?
And how can it be made to work smoothly on the internet?

I would extremely grateful for any tips!

Best regards
Claus
