slide sorter text not viewable

In my slide sorter, normal view, only some of my slides show text. I've
expanded slides, colapsed them and done the same for all slides at one time.
Two slides for some reason don't want to expand and show text while others
above and below it do.

I don't know that you can "expand" slides in slide sorter view. Are you
talking about Outline view?

Outline view shows only the text included in the placeholders (where it says
"click to add text").
