Slide sound problem

Hi
I have a home slide that has music playing automativally. User then clicks a
button to another slide. Sound effect plays on that slide. User reads content
then button takes her back to the home slide. The music doesn't play at this
point and I want it to.
I want this to happen across 10 slides all liked to and from the home slide
but after the slide has been visited once it won't play the sound again.
Is there a way round this?

When a slide is revisited, PowerPoint opens it as "complete", after all
animations have been played. To trick it and enter the slide at the beginning,
add a blank slide in front of the slide you want to go to. Give it a transition
of 0 seconds and make your link to the blank slide.
