Slide Transitions - Help me

P

Patrick

I am creating a mini-software simulator using multiple
Power Point hyperlinks and it seems to be working great,
but there is one hitch. When I loop back to the original
slide, the "program" is supposed to cycle through a
series of subsequent slides automatically and then stop
at a specific slide in order to wait for the user to
click another hyperlink. It functions well on the first
time through...but if the user chooses to look back to
the original slide, the program will not advance
automatically. It should work because it is following
the same workflow, and the same commands as the first
run...but for some reason it does not. Can you give me
some advice as how to fix this? Thanks.

Patrick,

I've solved an issue similar to this by doing the
following. I had to insert a hidden "dummy" slide as the
first slide. In my case I make it just a black slide
that would immediately fade to the second slide. At the
end of the presentation it would loop back to the first
slide (which was the dummy). Does that make sense?

For some reason, PowerPoint doesn't seem to see the
commands on the first slide when it plays the second time
through.

You can give it a try to see if it works for you.
