Slideshow Presentation on Secondary Monitor

Hello!

I am getting stuck here. What I am trying to accomplish is to have a
powerpoint slideshow running on a secondary monitor (with the desktop
extended to that monitor; horizontally) and still be able to use other
computer functions (i.e. burn a CD, browse the internet, etc.). Whenever I
try to do this
(following the microsoft instructions to do a power point on a secondary
monitor, of course), the powerpoint freezes up once I click on something
outside of the slideshow.

The PowerPoint is set for 5 second slide time and to loop. I have tried
this Office 2003, gave up, upgraded to Office 2007 and still no luck. I
would apprieciate a response as to whether or not this is feasable.

Thank you,

Lee Lovell

Others may post if I am wrong, but IIRC PPT has to be the program of focus
(selected) to allow the PPT show to continue. Once the focus is changed to
another program, PPT will stop running but will keep whatever is on the
screen stationary.

There have been reported workarounds on this or the PPT newsgroup but I
can't give a reference at this time. Recommend searching for it.

Thank you for the reply.

Could you or anyone possibly give me information on what keywords or search
words I would use to get me to the right place? I am not exactly sure what I
would need to use.
