Slow Loading Outlook

I am experiencing a slow load on Outlook 2003 running under Windows XP.
Can someone give me some advice as to where to look for cause?

Hello,
Do you run any add-ins, or sync a Palm/other handheld device? Do you have
antivirus scanning your incoming/outgoing mail? Are there any errors (phrases
and/or numbers)?

No errors, but I do have a large PST file. If I archive off the PST file,
will this improve load speed?
