Slow opening from template

I followed the instructions for creating a form using
tables. I then inserted activex controls and VBA code to
drive calculations on the form. After saving the template
and opening a new doc from this template it takes 60
seconds for the form to display. I also don't like the
way that the form scrolls. The textboxes and option
buttons ect all stay in place until you stop scrolling
then they clear up. Hope that makes since. can anyone
tell me how to solve the slow response and scrolling issue.
