Slow Performance switching between Emails

Jeff

I am using Outlook 2002 and running Nortin Antivirus.
The same setup as my Dad. It take me 4 times longer to
switch between Emails then it does for my dad. Any
sugestions.

What else is different between this computer and your Dad's?

A lot more info is required in order for us to help.

If you have instant messaging turned on in Outlook, either turn it off or
set it to run in the background.

I am having the same problem - I think - that is when one
or more windows are open in Outlook (doesn't matter what -
email, contact record, etc.) the time between clicking
on the window on the task bar is long (10 - 20 or more
seconds) and in many cases, if I've tried to switch
between 2,3 or more, because this delay is frustrating,
Outlook and XP hangs. I too am running Norton Antivirus.

This delay on task switching does not occur in other apps.
