Slow Running Presentation

Good Morning:
If anyone can help I would appreciate it. I created a 140 slide
presentation. I am having trouble with it running at a normal pace. Where I
have inserted Wav files or used animations the slides stop or don't run on
time. Can anyone give me any suggestions? I need to present this to a group
of people this weekend and am not having much luck just getting it to run all
the way through without lagging.
