Smart document with Office System Standard Edition

hi there

I'm planning to use microsoft smart document technology for supporting
business processes. I have searched the web but couldn't find aany technical
system requirements. Apparently using microsoft office 11 (2003) is mandatory
- what about the editions? Can i use standard edition or is the professional
edition obligatory?

Smart documents are a feature ONLY in Professional editions or the
standalone versions of Excel and Word (not the Standard or Small Business
editions)
