smime.p7m attachments ... how do you open?

OK, I know that if a user gets a smime.p7m it's either
digitally signed or encrypted in an "envelope", but my
problem is how do I open these with Outlook? I've opened
many signed/encrypted messages from within our site, but
anything offsite comes through as this attachment. I can
open the attachment in Outlook Express, but NOT Outlook so
far. Has anyone come across this and successfully gotten
a way to open these in the Outlooks client? I really
would hate to have to configure Outlook Express on every
computer just to open these.

they should open in Outlook unless they are corrupted by the mail server.
Are you getting any errors or messages?

No error messages, it just says that it has no associated
applications to open it with. When I save the attachment
then try to open with Outlook, it'll simply create a new
message and add it as an attachment. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan
