Sneding Distribution lists

Hello. Can you explain in detail how to send a distribution list using
Outlook to another computer via email? I have tried to insert the list as an
attachment but doesn't go through.

Thank you

In what format are you composing the message? What version of Outlook?

Insert it as an Outlook Item in an RTF message. Note, the recipient must
also be running Outlook.

Hi Russ:

I'm using Outlook 2003, SP-1, and have no "Item" in the Insert menu -- not
even ghosted - and my mail format is pointing to RTF. Is there another way to
insert and/or forward a DL to someone else in my company (assuming there is
no shared public folder).

Thanks,
Judy

All Outlook versions have an Insert Item option. You did not specify which
editor you are using and that matters more than your version. Did you check
the Attachment icon in the Toolbar? (Hint: it's the paperclip).

Word 2003 is checked as the mail editor. I noticed when I unchecked it then
started a new message "Item" reappeared in the Insert menu.

The attachment icon was present in the toolbar no matter which editor I had
selected (or deselected).

Thanks for your time,
Judy
