Some Actual Work not updated in published schedule

We are running Microsoft project server 2007. On numerous tasks (but not
all!) on my and other's published schedule, Actual Work is not being updated
after a resource submits updates through My Tasks. For example, for week 52
a resource submitted time to 7 tasks - 3 of them updated 4 did not. They did
the My Task update correctly (I watched them) and the time IS showing in the
Data Analysis view.
