Some of my emails are going straight to the 'deleted items' folder...

.....and I don't have any rules set.
It seems to be random, perhaps 1 in 10 emails received when starting up
Outlook. I am not touching anything on the keyboard,
or the mouse when the mail is incoming.
I,ve done a search on this forum and its been seen before, but no
conclusions.

Anyone help?

Is there anything in common about the emails going to the Deleted Items

not as far as I can see - they appear to be random.

Do you have any other addins installed, possibly?

?what type of addins do you mean?
I have Mcaffee anti-virus installed, and auto-updated,
and I have microsofts free anti-spyware package running as well.

I had this problem. My OL server was set up to keep the OL sent and
calendar messages and forwarded non OL (external?) messages to a mailhub
where I used to POP from. The OL server, for some reason, wants to keep
messages in the Deleted folder. Eventually all messages in the Inbox moved
themselves to the Deleted folder. Once our IT folks had all my mail
directed to the OL server, this moving of messages to the Deleted folder
stopped.

Did you ever find the cause to this problem? I'm having the same issue. I
have checked the Junk Mail, "Rules", "Views" and the only add-in is our
Anti-Virus. Just curious and would appreciate any suggestions.

No, not resolved, but I moved house a month ago, and still waiting for
broadband
to be re-connected, so haven't used Outlook since then.
Very annoying - may have to resort back to Express.
