Hi, I am running Outlook 2003 11.8169 SP3 with Business Contact Manager] on a
Windows XP Home Edition Fujitsu Siemens Laptop. On 25 Sept 07 I sent an
email with a Microsoft Word 2003 attachment which the recipient said would
not open on their computer. Since then a minority of email recipients have
reported they cannot open word documents sent via Outlook but they can open
the documents if sent via an alternative route ie Webmail. Other receipients
have reported no problems opening Word attachments.

Any ideas what may be causing this. My anti-virus software is up to date
and reporting no virus or malware.

Thanks for any ideas.

Thanks for this suggestion Diane. As these are my clients its a bit awkward
asking them to spend time giving me precise feedback about their error
messages. but i am going to investigate further

what happens when they try? Do they also have Office 2003 SP3? If so, could
