Something is opening Normal.dot

I do not know when this started.
Perhaps when I installed NAV 2004 last week, or when I installed Omni Page
Pro Office 14 in July.
I recently noticed that when I open a Word doc, either by double clicking,
or by right clicking and choosing Open, I notice the following when exiting
from Word.

1. The Window with the doc closes, as expected.
2. A window for Normal.dot is displayed briefly, then closes.
3. Word exits.

Problem is not in my Auto macros as I removed Normal.dot and the problem
still occurs, so NAV 2004 (or OmniPage) must be doing something in a
document event or Auto macro to cause this.

Anybody see this behavior?
Any cures?

It's nothing in the Startup directory.
I wrote all those templates.

It's gotta be something NAV 2004 or OmniPage Pro Office 14 is doing in an
add-in.

It may sound stupid question, but are you sure you removed the correct
Normal.dot template?
On many computers I found more than one copy of Normal.dot in different
directories; try to search and delete them all.
Other than that you can temporarily disable the NAV or OmniPage and see if
it makes any difference.
