Does anyone know how to sort a table of contents and keep
the hyperlinks? OR how to convert a TOC field to text and
keep the links?

Thanks

Hi BattleAxel,
Does anyone know how to sort a table of contents and keep
the hyperlinks? OR how to convert a TOC field to text and
keep the links?
Only in a very round-about way:

1. If you select a page number in a TOC, then press Shift+F9
you should see the PageRef field code that's part of the TOC
field result.

2. You can get this code for each and every entry, and save
it somewhere

3. After this, select the TOC and turn it into plain text

4. Recreate the PageRef fields, replacing the plain text
page numbers

5. Sort the TOC

Note that only the page numbers then have the hyperlink. But
as a variation on this you could create Hyperlink fields in
place of the plain TOC text, as well. Hyperlink target is
the same PageRef bookmark, but the display text would be the
TOC text.
