Sorting a column for by a value other than the first one in the ce

Hello. (Please forgive if duplicate)

I'm trying to sort a column that contains names listed in "First Name, Last
Name" order by the Last Name.

I thought I remember a way that you can tell Excel to sort a field by a
value other than the first one. I can't remember if this was a function or a
formula.

Can anyone help? Thanks.

The Data-Sort dialog box has three choices by which to sort (but you need
use only one). The drop-down box for each sort choice should contain all the
possible sort choices.
