Sorting tables is being awkward

Well I've changed the date, thanks for the reminder....as to the rest I am
totally confused. I did not send anyone email and as far as I
know have nothing to be deleted.

I do not see any answers to your question at my end so forgive me if you
allready received other answers.
In Word 2002 you could try this, I am not sure if the same option is
available in Word 2000 though.
Select the column to be sorted.
In the menu "Tables", click on Sort.
In the dialogue box, click on the "Options" button (left corner of the
dialogue). Put a mark next to Sort Column Only, click OK and click OK.
That should do it.

Oops guess I read your message wrong where you say "...be applied to the
selected cells not
the whole column" you really mean to the whole table, or am I wrong?

Dear all,

I have a two column table and am performing a sort on it....so far so
good... HOWEVER I only want the sort to be applied to the selected cells not
the whole column. Is this possible?
