I'm a language teacher & I got my friend who is a native speaker to record
over 250 sound files for me using my computer's sound recorder. I've been
inserting them into ppts & most of the time I can e-mail them or copy to CD
and the sound works. But sometimes it doesn't.... I know how to record
sound straight onto the ppt slide -I didn't back then :( Is there any way I
can change those recordings so they will work every time? I would hate to
have to start all over again.
I'm using Powerpoint 2002, Windows XP Professional.

If the sound files are linked make sure there is a copy of the file in the
same folder as the ppt. To ensure wavs are always embedded change the value
in Tools > options . general - "link sounds with file size greater than" to
50000

And make sure you re-insert the sound after changing the setting. If not, it
will still be linked.
