Sounds in Emails

is it possible to insert a sound into an email so that when the recipient
opens the email the sound automatically plays without needing to double click
an icon?

Yes. If you are using Word & Outlook 2000 and later you can do the
following.

1) Start a new HTML message with Microsoft Word as your e-mail editor
2) Right click on a menu/toolbar and select web tools
3) Place cursor in body of message and select the speaker icon to insert the
sound


Outlook 98 requires different steps.
