Problem was stated in my original post and is described here:
http://www.phdcc.com/xpsp2.htm#securityoptions

Only solution that works for me (so far) is to use Firefox instead of
IE6 to get rid of the annoying "Information Bar" (included with SP2),
when I go to use "Preview In Browser" with FP2003.

Then you have something set wrong.

FYI, the site you reference above contains numerous pieces of misinformation
and clearly shows the ignorance of the author. I just love the "come on
Microsoft, plug the security holes" comment over and over.

If you know the author, you might also want to let him or her know that
Microsoft is a singular entity. Therefore, "What do Microsoft suggest?" is
not grammatically correct.

I realize that but have not been able to find it. Murray tried to help but
we still could not figure it out.

Open to suggestions.

Good suggestion but I have switched to Firefox for doing "Preview In
Browser" (and may switch to them for all else), and am very happy with it.

From the responses on this problem found by searching Google, I am sure
Microsoft is aware of the situation.

Don't have the time to fight "City Hall".

My suggestion would be to call Microsoft.
