I have been notified that our email server is sending out spam. How do I
begin to find the problem? We have never used our email to send out bulk
mailings, so I fear a virus.

Have them send you the entire message that they allege is spam. In Outlook
Express or in WLM you can do Properties, Details, Message Source... and copy
the entire raw message. What you want is the headers. Once you get them
you can look at the headers and try to figure out which computer sent the
message. How you do that depends on the tools that come with your email
server.
