Specify exact table row size

I want to specify the row size in a series of tables.

I created a series of tables in one font size, and after working on the
layout and printing samples, determined the font size needed to be smaller.
Adjusting the font size, I now want to reduce the row height (which was
mysteriously set by the old font size) in each of the tables. Each row in in
all the tables must be exactly the same height.

The (infuriating) "adjust pointer" tool behaves differently each time I use
it, and seems incapable of setting precise row heights.

Isn't there something like Word's "specify row height" in Publisher? If not,
is there a work-around? The only other option I see would be to start all the
tables over again with the new font size.

Thanks for any help!

There isn't a size function as in Excel or Word, but you can get around this
by doing the following.
1.- Under Table, uncheck the option 'Grow to fit text size' This will
prevent automatic sizing based on font size
2.- Under Format/Table change the options for the margins to permit smaller
margins - if necessary.
3.- Select all the cells in the table either by dragging the cursor or by
Table/Select/Table - ( alt+a+s+t or in Pub 2000 alt+a+s+a)
4.- With all the cells highlighted, move the cursor so it is on any of the
horizontal lines and depress the left cursor button. This will reset all
cells to the same height. Left click on a vertical line to reset all cells
to the same width.
5.- You can now resize the entire table to whatever size is necessary.

Hope this helps.

Maybe copy and past exelfile cels in to the publisher document? Only cels
will do..

Thank you for the tip, Ron. It helped, I was able to use your tip to more or
less make the tables identical in size. Still, what a curious lack in a
desktop publishing program, not to be able to specify exact row height. I
wonder if it's been fixed in v2003 (I use 2000).
