Spell check on html messages

Still using Outlook 2000, hoping there is a known fix besides updating...

When a user responds to an HTML message, the system hangs on the spell-check
function, leaving only the option of rebooting computer.

Any thoughts or suggestions please?

did you try a repair? (rerun setup if repair is not an option) I would
probably try renaming the custom.dic file to see if it helps (rename back if
it doesn't help)
