Spell check won't work in my powerpoint

I get the error: Powerpoint couldn'y find the spelling
file for English (Ireland).

What language is PPT set to check--or what language do you have set in
Windows Control Panel under Regional Settings? If it's anything PPT
considers a "dialect," that could be the issue. English (New Zealand)
and English (Ireland) have both been known to cause this.
