We currently have Office XP working correctly on our network except for
Spellcheck. When you check the spelling it rechecks the same word, sometimes
up to 30 times (it varies), and then moves to the next word and gives you the
choice to resume. Once you select resume it will move through the rest of
your document correctly. I have found it difficult to explain the problem
which is why I haven't been able to find any suggestions
We have tried deleting and recreating the custom dictionary, repairing the
office install and a total removal and reinstall of the suite. makes no
difference. This is affecting all users on both Windows XP and 2000 OS. There
aren't any inconsistancies with the install that I can find.
Any ideas? I am not familiar with the inner workings of the MS Spell Check
functions to know where to start.
