The trial version of Word should have all features operational. More than
likely, Word is not finding any errors because you have "told" it not to. Go
to Tools | Language | Set Language and make sure that the correct language
is selected and that "Do not check spelling or grammar" is not checked. You
might as well clear the check box for "Detect language automatically," too,
since Word doesn't do a very good job of that. If you're using "Check
spelling as you type" (Tools | Options | Spelling and Grammar), make sure
you haven't enable "Hide spelling errors in this document" (which will
prevent errors from being marked, but the spelling checker will still find
them when you run it explicitly using F7).
