Spellchecker is not working after update to Office 2007

Hello, my spellchecker is not working after I updated from Office 2003 to
Office 2007. (no red squiggly lines and nothing other than grammer checks
when I run spellchecker) How do I correct this? I am a nontechie, so please
help! I have gone into Word and noticed that the only dictionary listed is:
CUSTOM.DIC (Default). I did change the language to English, which didn't
help. I also went into the review ribbon and clicked on "set Language." I
noticed that there is no check mark next to "do not check spelling or
grammar," which I would assume is what I want. There is a check mark next to
"detect language automatically."

I also need to instal a medical spellchecker, but it will not let me install
it until I have a general spellchecker installed that it recognizes.

Please help! I need SPELLCHECKER!!!

Thank you
Kaye

Could be a corrupt Windows user profile. Try creating a new user in
Windows ( Start | Control Panel | User Accounts ) and see if the
spellcheck problem persists when logged in as the new user.
