Spelling and Grammar display French. How do I reset to English?

I am using Word 2007 and trying to use the spelling and grammar checker. Even
though I have every language setting that I can find set to English (U.S.),
the Spelling and Grammar displays “French (France)â€. I am not aware of having
changed any setting to French. Any ideas how I can reset everything to
English?

The following article explains how language formatting works in Word. See if that
mentions anything you haven't tried, yet.

Keep in mind that language is a type of formatting, so if you have text that's
currently being recognized as "French", changing settings somewhere won't change the
formatting of that text. You need to SELECT the text then apply the language format
you wish to use.
