"Split" is missing???

Hi All,

Was called to do a little work on an office computer
today, WinXP with Ecel2000. I have 2000 on my ME machine
at home and was surprised to see that the "Split" command
was missing on the one today.

Anybody have any ideas where it went or how to get it
back??

TIA,

Don

Do you mean the VBA Split function? If so, it should be in VBA for
XL2K. If it's not, you likely have a corrupted install. XL97, on the
other hand, lacks Split in VBA. Are you sure you're running XL2K? XL97
and XL2K could both be installed, and you might have run XL97
accidentally.

If you don't mean the VBA Split function, then you're on your own.
There is nothing in Excel itself called 'Split'. Are you sure you don't
get this from an add-in on your home machine?

Do you mean Window>Split?

Tools>Customize>Commands>Windows and Help.

Scroll down to "Split" and drag it up to the Window Menu.

Hi Gord and Harlan,

Boy do I feel dumb...it was there just didn't wait long
enough and didn't click the down arrow on the menu. Will
try not to make the same mistake again, but thanks for
your time in responding here. Sorry it took so long to get
back to you but just got back to my home computer this AM.

Thanks again to both of you,

Have a great weekend,

Don

Thanks for the feedabck.

I keep my Customize>Options set to "Show Full Menus" and forget the "short
delay" feature is an option.
