if i have ten people working on a particular task that takes 4 weeks, but i
need one of them to stop working on that task and work on one of the
sub-tasks for one of the 4 weeks, how do i split that person's time for the
week without splitting everyone else's?
eg: Widget Production is a task that has 4 week duration and 10 people
assigned to it 100%. I need one of those people for Quality Control Check
for one week during the 4 weeks, but in my mind Quality Control Check is a
subtask of Widget Production, but MSP doesn't seem to think this way. MSP
will not let me assign the person 100% to QC for one week and 100% to
Production for the other three weeks. i need to keep these items
task-dependent and not date-dependent because if the schedule is changed (not
slips, changed say by the client) i need everything to slid up or back with
the same relationships.
is this individual assignment splitting possible? thanks.
