spontaneous bold

Word 9.0 SP3, part of Office XP
Windows XP Pro SP1

out of the blue, when I am creating a Word document, if I use the "caps
lock" key, type the desired text, the text appears, as desired. If I press
the "enter" key one time, the text remains as desired. If I press the
"enter" key a 2nd time, the text changes to "BOLD".

Thanks for your attention to my problem.

Go to Tools/AutoCorrect and on the "AutoFormat as you Type" tab turn
off "Headings"
