SQL Data on Custom Project Outline Codes

I do not have the luxury of having a certified SQL DBA.
As a matter of fact, he has only been using the tool for
2 days. Anyway, I need help in retrieving the actual
value selected for a custom project outline code. I can
see ALL the lookup table values but cannot figure out how
to get the ONE code that was select. Since it is a
project outline code, I have been searching for data
assigned to task_id=0 (Project Summary Task). I also can
see all of the other custom field assigned information.
Just no custom outline information.

What will I loose if I change outline codes to project
text fielkds with value lists???

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Check in MSP_CODE_FIELDS and MSP_OUTLINE_CODES.

Kevin:

The mighty difference between the two is that Project-level and
Resource-level Outline codes become dimensions in the OLAP cube. For this
reason, Outline codes are precious. For any use where adding a dimension to
the OLAP cube is not required, they're interchangeable with text fields.
