I have created a custom tool bar with several buttons (clicking this button
execute functions in the code). But, I don´t know how to present an square
around the button when the user click that button (same to hide).
I am coding in access2003.

thanks in advance.

Hum, no one is answer this question..since the "square" you talk about is
not clear here?

Are you talking about a standard menu bar here...and a users clicks on the
menu bar...and you see a square?

This is how all menus work by default..and I don't really understand the
question.

Are you trying to do something that all menu bars in word, Excel, or
ms-access ALWAYS do...or are you looking for a special effect that they
don't normally do?

Do not your regular menus now show a square?

I guess what I am asking is are you trying to get menus to work as they
always do...or are you trying to do something that menus don't normally do??

You can try downloading the 3rd example here:

http://www.attcanada.net/~kallal.msn/msaccess/DownLoad.htm

The above has a sample menu bar that I made (in just a few minutes of time).

Try the menus out..do they work as you need?

It is clear that is not clear.

I´ll try:

In Msword, when you push some buttons ("bold", "alingnment", etc.), change
the presentation of that button, indicating it. For example, after push
"bold" you can see a square around the botton "N", or/and changes the back
color of the button.
I´d like to know how can I get the same effect with the buttons of a custom
tool bar (bar made with the neccessary button of my application). I have
not found a property to modify the buttom view.

Ah, very clear now!!

Yes, you can do as you ask.

Just set the state of the buttion.

CommandBars("YourMenu").Controls("YourControlName").State = True

the above would thus keep the buttion pressed down. You likey could make the
buttion a toggle via:

CommandBars("YourMenu").Controls("YourControlName").State =
not(CommandBars("YourMenu").Controls("YourControlName").State)
