SR-1 Patch For Occice 2000 Professional

J

John Gregory

I bought a new machine a year ago and installed the Office 2000 Professional
I'd been running on my laptop. I remember installing the SR-1 patch to that
laptop but not my new machine. How can I check? Also, I noticed that the
SR-1 CD I have is for Office "Premium", not "Professional". I've experienced
no problem that I recall on my portable but I'd like to make sure everything
is done correctly on the newer machine. Use the Premium disc on the
Professional installation?

Hi John,

All of the Office 2000 SR1 patch update CDs
were labeled as 'Premium'. There wasn't a
specific SR1/SR1a for each edition, its just
the way they labeled the CD.

You can use http://officeupdate.com to check
to see what updates are recommended. If you
have the patch CD you can use it rather than
download then recheck.

You won't hurt anything by trying to install
the SR1 update. If its already in place the
installer should tell you it's not required.
